Do the Metrolink stations have codes too? Like Shudehill could be SHD, Deansgate-Castlefield could be DGC, and Market Street could be MST??
It has already been established by HST Power that these light rail codes are not allowed on the quiz.
Some of the existing Manchester Metrolink stations on the Bury, Altrincham and Oldham/Rochdale lines that were converted from heavy rail to Metrolink will retain their pre-existing 3-letter codes.
gnolife sent me the following information on the Eccles line Metrolink station codes some time ago:-
ANH = Anchorage
BRD = Broadway
ECM= Eccles Metrolink station
EXQ= Exchange Quay
HBC= Harbour City
LDW= Ladywell
LWY= Langworthy
PMO= Pomona
SAQ= Salford Quays
WMT= Weaste
It may be advisable to send him a PM to see if he now has any further codes.

Rules Clarification
1) Please only use station codes officially used by National Rail.
2) Post the codes exactly as they appear on the NR planner.
3) I'd like to ask that henceforth we only use codes from the mainline (eg: Great Northern, ECML, WCML) and the London Underground..... N0 codes from Metro and ANY tram systems (eg: T&W, Manchester Metrolink, etc).
4) Finally, only use codes from the UK. I don't think we have had any foreign codes posted, but this is just a reminder.
If you have any problems, please feel free to PM me.
