Anyone know why there's a J in the code for Baglan?

When the codings were first issued, BAG had already been issued for BAGSHOT, so with regards to BAGLAN, the first two letters of "BA" were retained and the first unused third alphabetical letter of "J" was then added.

This is the "Station Codes" quiz...not the "Railway General Knowledge" quiz..:D

I will only be in Scotland for a week, and whoever started that rumour has clearly never seen me play football  I wouldn't strengthen the local school team, never mind Rangers...

A nice, friendly place to be. (Sarcasm may or may not be present in that statement)
