By the way guys, how do you find the answers for this game? Except in situations where I want to give the thread a kickstart, in which case I look up codes using the Avantix list I have, I only ever answer ones I know - some of which (such as Llanwrda recently) I have learned in this thread!

There are some of us who still have..and use..printed documentation from an official source, without recall to web based technology.... (Rule 4 specifically mentions websites).

You may recall that I was able to answer a code for a station that was recently set on this quiz, which was closed some time ago, but after the current system was first used. For example, I still have all the 3-letter codes for the now-closed stations on the Oldham Loop Line which is currently being converted to Manchester Metrolink.

There is no station with code PLO. The closest I can get is Plockton, which is PLK...

All railway stations in Great Britain have three letter alpha codes. They can be listed on timetables, departure boards, station information, etc.

The rules are as follows

1) The code must be from a station in Great Britain.

2) You may only post a new code if you get the previous code (unless somebody passes on their turn). It must be in capital letters.

3) The code has to be the proper station one as listed by National Rail. You can't just make it up as you go along.
