Paul, I was just going to relate the below to Normanton, and your posting with Castleford just popped up before I was going to post, but luckily Castleford also fits the following trend :P

Broomfleet is also a station with two platforms managed and served only by Northern, also in Yorkshire (albeit in the East Riding, not in the West like Normanton :P).

Pantyffynnon was also opened in 1840 and has a similar DfT category rating of F2

Barton-on-Humber is also a single-platform station managed and served by only one operator (Northern in this case) [except the first service which is a TPX service].

Ahaa! I knew it was a triangle station, I just didn't understand how on Northern's map as it doesn't appear to be linked on the line from Alderley Edge.

Yes, there's four. I'm not associating in terms of platforms though just the fact that it's a busy interchange.
