What was wrong with 150222's post regarding Scarborough on comment #4549??

Nothing however I had not read the previous page and as Barrow-upon-sour is nowhere near Sudbury (Suffolk) then your post was invalid. Also the Oxshott and Sudbury incidents were quite different. (I assume you were reffuring to the Sudbury incident?)

Yes, sorry, someone pipped me to the post with Sudbury before Barrow-upon-Soar. And yes, the derailment last year with 156417 and the lorry on the level crossing, and the Oxshott also involving a lorry, albeit crashing over a bridge. But anyway I am talking absolute rubbish, blame the wine for the festive season!

From Seaton Carew, I can say that Blackrod is another two-platform station managed by Northern (and I suppose with the off 142 calling!).

Penge West is also visible from the platforms of the next station up the line

Stockport has a different highest number platform to the number of platforms at the station (6 platforms, 0,1,2,3,3a,4) as does Ports Harbour (4 platforms, 1,3,4,5)

Colchester is also a principal station but isn't the nearest station to the town centre it serves.

East Midlands is a Parkway station which sits under the shadow of a power station
