Like both Amberley and Martin Mill a Southern Railway "Hole in the Wall" signal box used to be found at Glynde.

Trivia. The last operational example of such a box on the national network is at the closed Marchwood station.

Bucknell station is a request stop for trains running from Shrewsbury to Swansea. However, passenger trains running from Swansea to Shrewsbury stop here mandatorily, as the train has to stop before the level crossing. Knucklas station is, however, a request stop in both directions.

An easy access ramp (known as a Harrington Hump from the location where it was first installed) has been fitted at Llangynllo to help passengers when joining or leaving trains. The second Hump was installed at St Albans Abbey station.
