The Cheddar Valley line used to run from Yatton (still in use from Merehead) to join the Berks & Hants line at East Somerset Junction. The nearest station to East Somerset Junction still open is Frome.

Edge Hill is the first station after leaving Liverpool Lime Street on the Liverpool to Wigan Line. Bryn is the penultimate station on the same line before arriving at either Wigan North Western station.

Penzance is also the westernmost station in England but the westernmost station on the national network is Arisaig.

Beasdale was one of six railway stations in Britain to see zero passengers in the 2020/21 period, due to decreased travel throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. It was therefore Britain's joint-least-used station alongside (with four others) Sampford Courtenay.

Note that you should only reply with a station on the main BR network (e.g. not Underground or Preserved Railway) that is still open.

OK. Continuing from the last valid entry - which is Beasdale:

Dunrobin Castle was also originally a private station serving a country estate.
