Llanharan station is 183 miles 72 chains from the zero point at London Paddington, measured (for some reason) via Stroud.
It's measured via Stroud because that was the original South Wales main line prior to the opening of the Severn Tunnel in 1886.

Stonehouse is another station on the Golden Valley Line.

Ah, thank you; that makes sense, now!

Moving on .... bicycle hire is possible at both Bramhall and Poynton stations, although there are no storage facilities for bicycles at the latter.

The current station in Whitby was originally called Whitby Town and the other one was Whitby West Cliff. Until 1965, both stations had through services to Scarborough .

Bridge of Allan is the penultimate station on the Croy Line between Glasgow Queen Street and Dunblane going away from the former; Bishopbriggs is the penultimate station on the same line going in the opposite direction.
