Hertford North was the other northern terminal of the Inner Suburban services of the Great Northern Electrics in 1976.

Queenstown Road (Battersea), like Clapham High Street, is a staffed station despite given the DfT category F1 (i.e. "small unstaffed"), both with considerably greater usage than the designated "under 0.25 million trips per annum" for he category

Overground services use Battersea Park if Clapham Junction is unavailable, with a parliamentary/route knowledge retention service to go along with it.

Glasgow Central also has 17 platforms although unlike Clapham Junction they are on two levels.

Altrincham is also served by heavy-rail train services and tram service of the Manchester Metrolink.
Trains between Manchester Piccadilly and Chester via Altrincham used to run via the route now used by Metrolink. They now run via Stockport.
