The current Upholland station was originally called "Pimbo Lane” and given its current name in 1900. Similarly, what is now Kearsley station was renamed at the start of the 20th century, having previously been called Stoneclough

Like Clunderwen, Farnworth station has two platforms, with entrances from different roads and with no in-station access between platforms

Patterton is one of two stations in the East Renfrewshire town of Newton Mearns. Whitecraigs is the other, although both are situated on the extreme edges of the town.

Highbridge & Burnham also used to be an interchange between the lines of two different railway companies where the line of only one now survives.
