Another station to have undergone a name change is Watlington (Ashurst New Forest was formerly Lyndhurst Road and Watlington was formerly Magdelen Road).

Downham Market is well known for having many signs of it's being operated by Network SouthEast back in it's past. Another station with evidence of this chapter of it's history still prominently visible is Essex Road.

Essex road is on of the handful of underground stations on the national network. Another one is Liverpool Central.

Rainford is another of the small handful of stations managed by Merseytravel which is not served by electric trains.
Merseytravel don't directly manage any stations. Rainford is managed by Northern although it is within the Merseytravel zone.
