The current Bromsgrove station replaced the original in recent years, placing itself slightly north and opening in 2016. Rochester is another example, when in 2015 the new station opened to the west of the original station.

The original station at Rochester was opened as part of the East Kent Railway in 1892. In the same year, Ockendon station was opened by the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway.

Bromley South is the more popular of the two stations within Bromley town centre, unlike Bromley North which places itself at the end of the short branch line from Grove Park.

Long Buckby is the only other station on the Northampton loop, a deviation of the West Coast Main Line, the other being, quite obviously, Northampton.

In addition to the current line serving Northampton it also used to be served by lines to Bedford, Peterborough and Market Harborough.
