Bath Spa: Another rugby station. D'oh. I might have visited that station before now; will need to check. (I can't do sarcasm can I?)

Don't get me wrong; I like rugby - a lot. But sometimes it's like the city grinds to a halt just for the rugby club! It's not as though Manchester grinds to a halt for United or City games, is it? Not unless it's derby day anyway...!

From Tipton I shall choose the station I grew up around (again!), Shoeburyness. Two reasons; one genuine, one self-imposed (i.e. controversial).

Genuine reason: From a station with "Tip" in its name to one next to a tip [there is a scrapyard virtually next door].

Own reason: From a station with "Tip" in its name to a real tip! :D

Norton Bridge - another station where the general public might face some stern questioning if they tried to access it.

Teesside Airport - another station where you cannot catch a train during the week (not quite for the same reasons).

I think he meant Wareham, as no (regular) trains terminate there IIRC

That's what I meant.

Rhoose Cardiff International Airport - another station near an airport.

Also (to possibly help this link to another), this is the longest station name in Wales.

Couldn't resist it after you posted Rhiwbina; simply Googled the Ribena factory then, when seeing the line through the town was closed, looked for the nearest... ;)

Thought it would be more interesting than simply posting something with an identical sevice or track layout...

I know what you mean! I try to look for those obscure connections between stations. You're not the first to link stations with a drink though as I believe I did that by linking Mansfield with Blantyre via Irn Bru! I also try to pick stations that haven't been mentioned previously in the thread to add another layer of difficulty.

Willington - like Dean, the TOC that manages the station has no services stopping there.

Dunblane - another place that is famous (infamous?) for quite sad things :(
