Nantwich is the first station from Crewe on the line to Shrewsbury. The first station from Crewe on the line to Manchester is Sandbach.

Apart from Durham the only other remaining intermediate station between Darlington and Newcastle is Chester le Street.

Betws y Coed is the fourth station from the southern end of the Conwy Valley line. The fourth station from the northern end is North Llanwrst.

I think that we ought to continue from Oxenholme Lake District, although this suggestion applies to both stations.

Dalston is also on Northern Trains Route 6 (Cumbrian Coast, Furness and Windermere Lines).

Ravenglass was the location of two camping coaches supplied by the London Midland Region, which are still there and still in use. A similar arrangement applied at Dawlish Warren, where there are (or were in 2022), five coaches.
