There is no step-free access to either platform at Hall i' th' Wood, as the ramps from the road that passes beneath the line both have steps. The same is the case at Langho station.

Whalley station hosted an LMS Camping Coach (Caravan) between 1934 and 1936; during part of the same period (1934 and 1935), Hathersage station was host to two of them.

Chinley is also a station on the Hope Valley line which is also served by a small handful of long distance East Midlands Railway services operating between Norwich/Nottingham and Liverpool Lime Street.
