Glasgow Queen Street - despite being a "second station" for the city, it provides a faster link to their country's capital.

(ie, although Bristol Parkway is a secondary station for Bristol, the fastest London trains leave from there. Similarly, although Queen Street is Glasgow's second station, the fastest Edinburgh trains leave from there).

A rather convoluted link, I know, but much more interesting than going for another parkway station methinks!

Liverpool Lime Street: As well as longer distance services, it has local routes running below ground.

The station is located between a junction and the lines diverging.

Both Coventry and Kingston have (unusually) had ticket barriers removed.

Despite through service being possible, passengers are generally required to change to reach London.

Also home to a County FC, which just happens to play at x Park, as do Derby.

(The latter bit was just coincidental; I didn't think about that until after. It does give me an idea for a new quiz though...)

...

Oh. He beat me. I'm still doing the new quiz though :)

Let's see...

East Croydon: Also has a tram interchange

Confused now

Are we now at Stockport or East Croydon ?

Wigan Wallgate

Another example where the town's second station is operated by a different company to the busiest station.
