In the past, when Blackpool Central was the town's main station, through trains between Blackpool and London Euston ran via the Fylde Coast line and called at St. Annes on the Sea.
Another north-west coastal resort station which has now lost through services to/from Euston is Grange Over Sands.

Manchester Airport station also gives direct access from the station platform to a terminal of a different type of transport.

Caergwrle was renamed on 6 May 1974 (previously being 'Caergwrle Castle and Wells'). Also renamed on the same day was Greenbank (previously 'Hartford and Greenbank').

A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
There is a basic hourly service from Mouldsworth in each direction Monday to Saturday, with two additional weekday peak trains to and from Stockport. On Sundays there is a two-hourly service each way, with eastbound trains running through to Manchester, Wigan Wallgate and Southport.

Cleethorpes is also a marine area terminal station that once had more operational platforms in use than found these days.

It is indeed strange and there were nearly four hours between the two postings being made.

As we have seen some postings made since then, shall we carry on?
Yeah, why not?

Dore & Totley is also served by Northern, East Midlands Railway, and TransPennine Express.
