Arriva Trains Wales services from via Crewe to the terminating platforms at Manchester Piccadilly.

Liverpool Lime Street is also served by terminating twins on the high level by multiple TOCs and the low level by one TOC. Incedently, it is also served by 6 TOCs

Birmingham has 3 major city centre stations, of which New Street is the biggest. Another city with 3 major stations is Manchester. The biggest one there is Manchester Piccadilly.

Woolhampton station was renamed to Midgham by the original Great Western Railway in 1873 to avoid confusion with the company's station at Wolverhampton

In the most recent timetable change, Tattenham Corner now receives 2 semi-fast trains per hour to London Bridge. Another station that gained a semi-fast off-peak service to London Bridge was Waddon.

Farringdon is another station on the Thameslink route where LU tickets are interavailable
