Location
A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
General information

The first station of Cheadle Hulme, situated on the Manchester to Crewe line was opened in 1842 about 0.5km south of the current station. When the Manchester to Stoke-on-Trent line opened, that 1842 station was closed and a four platform junction station was opened on 9th June 1845, which is the site of the currently opened station.
