There are no DfT category 2 stations.....I think you meant to say DfT category F2.

Yes, I did ... must get a spellchecker!!
So, moving on ... Entwistle station has been used as a location for filming on a number of occasions. For example, in Episode 2 of Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, the station featured as "Middlewood station". This, though, should not be confused with the real life Middlewood station on the Buxton Line.

According to Mr W Pedia, Dovey Junction is often quoted as "a defining feature of the Great Western Railway in Wales: its inheritance of junctions in unlikely and inconvenient locations".
Other examples (some closed but one still open) are Moat Lane Junction, Talyllyn Junction, Afon Wen and Barmouth Junction (renamed Morfa Mawddach in 1960).
