Whatstandwell is also now a single platform station, originally opened in 1849 by the Manchester, Buxton, Matlock and Midland Junction Railway that was closed and then reopened with the lowest DfT category rating of F2.

Kings Norton was also once served by the Midland Railway and also sees Sprinter units (though only passing, not stopping)

Nethertown is also a limited service station on the Cumbrian Coast Line.
