Kings Norton is the next station from Banbury for London bound trains but as few trains stop there it can be better for London bound Kings Norton passengers to first travel away from London to catch one of the more frequent trains from Banbury.

I note that you have used Shipley as a response to Newton-le-Willows which is not a triangular station...but the next station of Earlestown meets that criteria.

You are of course quite correct - I read Newton-le-Willows but had Earlestown in mind. Oops.:oops: Post struck through, and we are still at Newton-le-Willows.

Newton-le-Willows another station served by Northern's 319s

Finsbury Park also opened in 1861.
