Chathill with its two platforms manages with a couple of trains a day whilst
Chatham with its reduction to two platforms accomodates over ten trains an hour

I confuse Stockport with Southport which although it now has just six platforms used to have ten or more.
Southport has fallen on hard times, a victim of declining passenger numbers and modern accountancy whereas Stockport has rising passenger numbers and has grown to six active platforms.

Ormskirk is also a terminus station where two sections of a former through route are now severed. (That word never looks right to me!)
