Ravenglass is another station whose full name is in the 'X for Y' format, where the 'for Y' is usually omitted*

*In my experience anyway

Bromley Cross

Blackrod & Bromley Cross signalboxes are both overlap boxes between two signalling areas. Incidentally, Blackrod box is due to close anytime now [it was scheduled to close last Monday, but didn't because of the weather].

Acton Bridge is another station with a town in it's name that isn't in the town itself.
Sorry, that's really badly worded. Bromley Cross could be in Bromley, London. Acton Bridge could be in Acton, west London?

Bristol Temple Meads was next to the site of a motive power depot which once had a large allocation of main line locos but closed in the 1990s and since demolished
