The Metro System is a dedicated system in its own right. The services that use James Street, Moorfields, Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Central stations are all NR services run by Merseyrail as the local TOC.

Evesham, also had a now closed station opened by a rival company in addition to the existing one
