another station called "Central" - not because it was on the old GC lines, but because it is central to the settlement it serves.

Ah, yes, but it was "Queen St" four stations back! ;)

Newcastle

another of those stations which can be confusing as you can depart for some destinations via one end or the other.

Stratford (Regional) is also a terminating point for London Overground and London Underground Trains.
