Northallerton may also become a shared interchange with a preserved line some time in the future if a projected re-opening comes to fruition.

Newton-le-Willows is where the Vulcan Foundry used to be.

The doomed DP2 which was wrecked in the Thirsk rail crash of 1967 was built there.

Radcliffe is another East Midlands Trains station designed by Thomas Chambers Hine.

is also a bus/rail transport interchange where the bus stand is numbered as an extra platform [Platform 5 at Llandudno Junction & Platform 2 at Betws]

Hamble is also a station in a settlement which has a longer name which is not included in the station name (Appleby-in-Westmorland, Hamble-le-Rice).
