Doncaster has been served by scheduled service trains hauled by preserved motive power in the 21st century

ie, class 50 50049 to Fishguard in 2006, class 86 86101 to Doncaster on hire to Hull Trains in 2007.

Leeds, at the other end of the Settle & Carlisle route, also formerly had a suffix as part of its name which is no longer in common usage.

Just to clarify, that's Bentley (South Yorkshire) - or at least I hope it is, because Bentley (Hampshire) was opened in 1854!

Ebbw Vale Parkway was also opened in the final 10 years of the BR era and is also normally booked for services run solely by BREL-built rolling stock.

another Community Line station - Portsmouth Arms on the Tarka Line, Hubbert's Bridge on the Poacher Line.
