That's not really station-related. That would be OK for Settlement Association (and then only marginally) though. Associations in this thread are supposed to be station-specific. That is why the other thread was created in the first place!

Dyce is also between Aberdeen and Inverness. (This matches both Nairn and Inverurie.)

Blackpool North is also an eight-platform station.

Blackpool North is the northern (and far more grand) terminus of a line that forks in order to serve two distinct areas of the same coastal area, before nearly meeting again where the two lines terminate. Although there is no other identical situation anywhere in the country (from what I have found anyway :?), a similar situation exists on the Strathclyde coast (albeit on a far more macro scale), with the terminus that matches Blackpool North being Wemyss Bay.

Wemyss Bay station is notable for its use of glass and steel curves - thanks to the imagination of artist and architect James Miller, who also designed extensions to Glasgow Central station.

P.S. - there would have been an even greater chance of the lines almost meeting again in Blackpool had the Marton line from Kirkham into Blackpool Central been retained
