Corrour is another railway station that has no road access......It is said that Dovey Junction does now have a very long footpath (0.75 mile in length) that leads to the small hamlet of Glandyfi.

I cannot believe that you have never seen an episode of "Heartbeat" in which Goathland railway station is featured, nor have read about the North York Moors Railway.

The Yorkshire Coastliner express bus service from Leeds to Whitby passes through the village with the supposed "Aidensfield Arms" and "Scripps Garage".

Much as it does seem to be to those of a "Southend" aspect on life, the world does not end at Thorpes Bay....

"Oh! Doctor Beeching" was filmed entirely on the Severn Valley Railway during its run and "Born and Bred" was filmed on both the East Lancashire Railway and on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway during its run
