Sorry about that....I had found my file note with various similarities ....and assumed if was a new one that had not yet been used.... and being fast approaching 67, I find "Senior Moments" now occur far more often....:roll:......The last posting has now been "struck-through" and Mottingham still remains as the station with which to make an association.

Lee is also a two-platform former South Eastern Railway station that was opened in 1866 which also has a DfT category rating of "D" and is also managed by Southeastern.

Glad to oblige...The two stations that were lost to rationalisation were Morecambe Euston Road (5 main platforms) and Blackpool Central (14 main platforms), which in their time saw vast numbers of "wakes" week holidaymakers. Both of these railway stations were well placed and both saw far more holidaymakers than the two stations today in these two towns. Morecambe Euston Road was solely owned by the London and North Western Railway, but Blackpool Central was jointly owned by both the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway and the London and North Western Railway.

Blackpool North is the station with which to make the next association....if this will help matters along....as it is by far the main station in the town, when you compare what Blackpool South is these days.
