Marsden, near Huddersfield, opened in 1849 by the LNWR. Brierfield was originally named Marsden when it opened in 1849, renamed in 1857 to Brierfield.

Barnham is also a junction station for a passenger carrying branch line with no intermediate stations.

Wolverhampton also used to have high and low level stations although whereas at Crystal Palace it is the Low Level station that survives at Wolverhampton it is the High Level station.

Tonbridge is another four platform station managed by Southeastern which is also served by GTR (Southern).
