IBM station was also built to serve an industrial complex, albeit one which is now closed.

(I'm assuming that the station is still open, although described by Mr W Pedia as "disused"?)

Whilst IBM is not technically a closed station since formal closure notices have not been issued, I don't think it really counts as being open from the perspective of providing a functional service to the general public; much like Barlaston and Wedgwood stations which have been in a similar station for well over a decade now. Whilst the resumption of services at IBM does appear to be a possibility in the not-too-distant future, for now and until such a time it would be wise to consider it as being closed. That said there is no need to delete the association and I welcome members to continue the game onwards.

University (on the Cross-City line) was also opened by British Rail in 1978.

University is one of the busier suburban stations in the West Midlands, with 1.544 million entries & exits by Season Ticket holders in 2019/20, according to ORR.
In the same period, there were also 1.544 million trips with Season Tickets recorded at New Cross Gate.

The East London line operated as a London Underground line until 2007, when it was shut for three years whilst being upgraded to the London Overground network. There were plans, though, during the 1970s for what is now the Jubilee line to be constructed from Stanmore in northwest London to Hayes, with branches to New Cross Gate and Addiscombe, which would've taken over the East London line south of Surrey Docks (now renamed Surrey Quays). After many revisions, the sum Jubilee line we received never reached Hayes.

Up until Nationalisation, when the town had railway stations owned by two different railway companies, today's Stroud station was known as Stroud Great Western.
Another station which even today retains a reference to the company which opened it is Wigan North Western.

Leyland is one of the original stations on the Manchester to Preston Line; dating from 2011, Buckshaw Parkway is the newest.

The relatively new station at Buckshaw Parkway is built on the site of substantial platforms formerly used by trains for staff working at the defunct and now demolished Royal Ordnance Factory.

(The R.O.F Chorley "Halt" was very busy during wartime and was served at shift changeover times until 1963. It was "unadvertised" to the public, indeed the entire ROF site was "missing" from OS maps.)

Another station which is still open, and was very much busier with munitions workers in wartime is Attenborough.
