Same reason - I think a whole heap of places qualify like this.

Trivia: Oxted was quite late to the railways, being on the boundary between two rail companies. Once it arrived, New Oxted sprang up really, really quickly, eventually inheriting the name Oxted and making the old Oxted into Old Oxted. Lots of pubs in Old Oxted:D. Only one modern one in Oxted due to the way Oxted developed under control :(
