Malton is on the York - Scarborough line. Unlike York Scarborough Station has declined but it is still another place where semaphore signals can still be seen.

You can ride between Skegness and a Category C1 station over a curve, something you can now also do from Rose Grove.

Seaford is another single platform station but it is not managed by Scotrail and indeed it is a fifteen hour rail journey away from Altnabrech at a bargain price of £194.50 according to Chiltern

Chessington South was also proposed to be an intermediate station on a through line, but the project was cut (apologies for poor phrasing here)
