Starting short at Gainsborough Stations

On 16 May I shall be "doing" the Brigg line. Part of my (extensive) plan includes travelling Doncaster - Gainsborough Lea Road - Worksop - (Gainsborough Central) - Barnetby.

As I will have a Lincolnshire Day Ranger, if I buy a Barnetby - Worksop return can I start short at GBL as part of "Gainsborough Stations", even though it's on a different line?
