Hi RailForum,

I rarely post here but I just wanted to express my delight in regards to starting a new role with Arriva North.
I'll be training as a Conductor based in Manchester for 3 months after waiting since last Oct when I received the email about being a successful candidate.

I'm just a little curious to anyone who has already completed the 3 month course and was successful, what was it like and what did it involve? Any tips would be gratefully appreciated too.

Well done pal.

I'm sure someone will be along to explain in depth - when my brother in law trained up with Northern he said it was very intense. Some of the learning material was what i thought to be the equivalent trained as a driver, eg signals etc.

I'm sure you will enjoy it though - just makes sure you concentrate!
