My kitchen cabinets contains every item of caffeine-based paraphernalia you can think of but ultimately filter coffee is my daily go-to. It's cheaper, better for the environment than pods and a pot of the stuff can give me all the caffeiney energy I need to Get Stuff Done especially during the first half of the day. Probably fair to say that I spend far less time in coffee shops than before the pandemic.. there's no need to spend so much money in them.
Interesting that you mention the pandemic...
During the lockdowns and periods when most offices were closed, we had a mobile coffee van touring the residential areas, a bit like an ice cream van. In normal times he'd park up outside office buildings, but while they were closed he had to adapt.
He was surprisingly popular - I used him just because it was an opportunity to get away from my desk for 10 minutes and have face to face conversation with another human! And also because he sold cakes. But in normal times I'd never buy a coffee when I could make one at home for a fraction of the price.
