The two public running dates in 2011 for the 10 1/4" SMR near Melton Mowbray Leics LE14 2SF
Are Sat Sun 11th 12th June and 28th 29th August (BH Sun Mon)
Both events are for charity and feature a vintage steam rally alongside the railway operation with model rail suppliers also attending
Prices for June are £5 adults and OAPs £3 children
or £25 for weekend camping inc admission both days
The August event is £5 per car
or £20 for weekend camping and admission per pitch
Small charge for train rides at both events
Access to and from car park next to the tunnel possible Behaved dogs on leads welcome gates open by 10-00 with first engines out by then and full fleet in operation by 11-30 each day with last trains around teatime
All 5 of the SMR 6 locos expected in steam with the Jubilee not expected back in service till 2012 although any progress on the boiler works will be posted.
