It used to be the case that tickets to Stansted Airport were accepted on coaches after the last train left (at least as recently as March according to this thread ) Is this still the case?

I can't find anything on the Stansted Express website but it does say they're valid on the British Tourist Authority one. I called up the Stansted Express contact number and they hadn't a clue, made worse by the fact my ticket is a Games Ticket.

My flight is tomorrow 13/09/2012 at 7:30am, I have a ticket from Maidstone to London Games (route not HS1) valid today 12/09/2012, and a ticket valid London Games - Stansted Airport (Route any permitted) valid 13/09/2012. Unfortunately I booked them thinking of the Gatwick Express which goes until just past midnight and had planned to spend the day at the family home before going back abroad after the Closing Ceremony. Am I going to be spending four hours waiting around Liverpool Street for the first train tomorrow?

I do not think that the tickets will be now valid on National Express coaches due to a change in the franchisee.

National Express used to run the Stansted Express along with the whole of Greater Anglia, but now Abellio run the franchise which is nothing to do with National Express.

So I think it's a no to the ticket being valid on the coach.

If you didn't want to hang around in London overnight, you can book a ticket from National Express for the coach online for £10.00 + £1.00 booking fee, coaches run every 30mins.
