I have recently attended a stage 1 assessment day for a trainee train driver. I did not pass one of the tests because my score was not high enough for the TOC higher than standard pass marks. I have been told that the test I failed was above the national standard mark though.

Does anyone know which TOCs accept the national standard pass mark?

I'm wanting to know which TOCs accept the national standard pass mark for trainee train drivers assessment scores. I'm assuming I would be able to use my stage 1 score (which is higher than the national standard pass mark) and then progress straight to their stage 2 assessment?

Pretty much every TOC nowadays requires above standard results for at least one part of the assessment.
Please bear in mind that an enhanced pass level of one TOC might not be the same as an enhanced pass level of another. It might be lover or higher to other TOC but above standard.

Arriva where? No point in giving you a toc in Scotland for instance if you did the assessment for ARL

Do you remember your stats for the test.

They didn't give me the actual score, just told me I had scored above the national standard pass mark but not high enough for ARLs enhanced pass mark.

Group Bourdon Test.

Southern should accept your pass mark. I had exactly the same outcome when I had the assessment with GTR and they bumped my application over to Southern when the Metro vacancies came up recently.

I know one candidate who met the national standard but not the GTR enhanced standard. Interesting that they bumped you over!

Does anybody know if there is any way you can enquire about whether your score is good enough for a specific TOC?

No tried myself, they -TOC HR- can only confirm when you make the paper sift and they put you through their assessment centre.

No but I was told my speed was good, I was scored down on the amount of 4 dot groups I missed.
If I remember correctly (I posted this a long time ago) you need:
≥938 cells,
≤ 14 omissions
≤ 2 incorrectly marked
