Does anyone know how much a day ticket is on the T4 Cardiff to Brecon bus? My parents are planning on having a day out. I've had a look on Stagecoach's website but it doesn't give the cost of day tickets, saying information will be 'posted soon'?

I would guess, with it going all the way to Brecon (and even as far as Newtown), that a day ticket is probably in the region of about £6 or £7.

EDIT: Just noticed on Cardiff Bus website that there is a Network Dayrider at £8 which is valid on a wide array of different bus companies and includes TrawsCymru as far as Felinfach which is in Brecon, so I'm guessing this ticket would be okay?

Yes your edit is correct - you can travel from Cardiff to just beyond Brecon on either an Explorer (£7.70) or Dayrider (£8).

Explorer also allows travel on neighbouring Stagecoach operators, Dayrider includes most other bus operators in South Wales (not First or Harris Transport)

To travel as far as Newtown on the T4 you need a Powys Day Rover price also £8. Stagecoach told me this is valid at any time on the whole of the T4 route as well as most other buses in and to/from Powys. It's a particularly good deal when you consider a single from Cardiff to Newtown costs £13. I suspect plenty of people pay more than they need to on the T4.

Cardiff - Brecon - Hereford - Abergavenny - Cardiff in either direction is a nice round trip.
