That looks much better! Personally would a wavy line of Blue fading into the Green work connecting the two colours together work or would that do now?

Basically where the Blue part/Blue Stripe is at the front and where the Green part is at the back of the Bus... would it be possible for you to maybe connect the two via a possible faded Blue and Green line or if not faded line then two lines Blue and Green? If that's too difficult don't worry about it! Just wanted to see what it looks like.

I was thinking earlier how an Elite/Panther or Panorama would look in the new white Livery rather than the Yellow and Gold Livery. I think they'd suit the White Livery more. What are you Guys thoughts on that?

After reading some of the replies to this thread, I decided to try and imagine what the new livery could look like if it was just the old livery with new colours. Not sure the grey skirt works, but here's a quick one I drew up...

Genius. I was thinking a very similar idea after seeing a photo of Stagecoach Highland's 16973 which is in what I would describe as a simplified beachball livery.

New colours, old but simplified layout. If they really wanted to they could incorporate the roundel at the rear end of the sides, provided they ditch the silly wraparound effect which doesn't work.

When the first Enviro 200mmc came out... I'm glad they changed the front because the colours don't match up well at the front. Sorry for the late reply! I'm still not too sure what you mean by the blue/green fade, but I've had a go with this livery on a few different vehicles and I think it looks great! I don't think Stagecoach have any Eclipse 2's like the bottom one here except for the busway vehicles which are in special green livery.

Are you able to do Coaches in that Livery too such as Panthers/Elites/Panoramas just to see what they'd look like as they as we know won't be painted in that Livery. Don't need to apologise

Sorry for the late reply! I'm still not too sure what you mean by the blue/green fade, but I've had a go with this livery on a few different vehicles and I think it looks great! Okay doke, no rush! . I think they look good. I don't know about anyone else here but the Green does give it a refreshed eco look to it which many Vehicles had.

Is it likely that anyone, apart from the sort of people who read forums like this, realises that the jagged shapes at the back of newly painted Stagecoach buses represent the company's logo? Indeed, if you showed the Stagecoach logo to a random sample of people, how many would recognise it as belonging to Stagecoach?

I do think that, after 20 years, it was time to refresh the livery and the colours chosen for the "local" livery aren't bad. The trouble lies in painting everything on the bus white and applying a few splodges of colour on it. Any saving made by not masking off the black window surrounds when applying the white will surely be lost by what must be very complex masking for the splodges.

There are different opinions about having route branding or having a consistent corporate scheme. If Stagecoach have the latter view, fair enough, but then, why have the green and yellow liveries which will, inevitably, end up on the wrong routes? It is notable that, here in Exeter, the first buses to be painted into the new "local" livery were the green MAN/Enviro 300s on the Green Park & Ride route.

The yellow rear end on the recently revealed Megabus livery is an improvement over the plain blue used since Sid's sad demise. However, the effect is spoiled by the uncoordinated white lettering all over it.

Is it too late to hope that Stagecoach will find a competent graphic designer to advise them?

Go North West revised their livery after a year so it is possible.

GNW's revised livery could be easily applied to the original with a small part repainted though.

That does look better than most I've seen but the blue widens out to cover pretty much the entire top of the rear of the vehicle, whilst I've seen some versions where the blue becomes a narrow strip, in between two wider yellow/gold sections - so I'm still confused as to what the correct version is meant to be!

Definitely a better livery on a smaller vehicle though, the vast bits of white don't suit a double decker.

I agree that does look fantastic! Carlisle Bus Group do post the best pics of their repainted Vehicles. A Freshly painted, sharp looking SR like that is fab! I'm sure the older version of the Solo have the same rear as in it's not different Colours.

There is supposed to be a narrow white band up the middle of the rear on double deckers only, with the wide band of blue on minibuses and single deckers only. It depends on the size of the "big logo" on the sides what the rear looks like.

There are 8 tri-axle Panthers in that livery in the Highlands - 54130-54137 inclusive, and also three B12B Panthers (the fleet numbers escape me, apologies).

That's fine bud, with the introduction of the B13 Panthers... would anyone else anticipate other than Me that the B12B Panthers will be withdrawn? When they were withdrawn from Citylink by the the B13's they got transferred to the Highland Fleet and Fife Fleet. So if they are due to get replaced anytime soon then would be a waste of time painting them.

If they're going to get Withdrawn I doubt they'd go to Stagecoach Western as I haven't seen any Western for ages unless they're up in Highlands too.

That's true, I take it the small 2 Axle's would be for School runs covering B13's. Then again the Buses like Enviro 300's I see sometimes doing the School runs pic wise

Yes and no, the 2 axles do get used on school work, but they also get used on service work. Likewise with the tri-axles. Perhaps a discussion better continued in the Stagecoach North Scotland thread seeing as this thread is for repaint updates.

Apologies if this sounds daft: will Stagecoach repaint any Airport Vehicles such as Stagecoach Fife 747 service etc. I hope to see a branded new Livery Vehicle soon enough. I've been seeing lots of Pics of a Stagecoach Bluebird Elite not the Inderdeck Version and so I assume that's the first Elite Painted?

Got bored so I did a new livery paperbus on a Wright eclipse. I hope it doesn't look too Seafield road depot bodge-job and I also hope they do a good job on 21204. (the vehicle, fleet no or place on the destination board fictional)

I also heard rumours from an inside source that another ALX400 at south bristol is going into specialist as well as another MAN E300 at gloucester.

Nope.. definitely the correct colour, from other pictures - this flikr user's pictures always slightly alter the colours, looking through their other photos.

South east are actually fairly competent when it comes to vehicle presentation, unlike some areas. **cough cough** Inverness **cough cough**
