S2 timetabling is perhaps so incredibly generous to the point where it's actually awful for the consumer.

Pity they can't do the same for the S9! Last Monday (28th September) my service from Frideswide Square towards the JR was 28 minutes late, was overtaken en route by the next S9 which we then re-overtook in turn. The service is a shambles and cannot be depended on, at all.

The S9 has run like clockwork on some days since the changes were introduced, and very much not like clockwork on other days. One slightly surprising thing is that the delays seem mostly not to have been caused on the Botley Road, but rather on the Central Oxford to JR part of the route, or occasionally further south.

Another S9 issue is that the first bus from the JR is around 15 minutes earlier than the 14 it replaced, and there is then an hour gap to the next, also unlike the 14. Fortunately my time visiting Oxford will soon end and I will no longer have to depend on either the S9 or the also unreliable X3.

I've recently seen the new Stagecoach Pride livery on the S1/S2. Are buses in Witney Depot slowly being repainted to the steel-blue livery? I've only seen the one pride as of now.
