The Wright Eclipses are for Cambridge Guided Busway services as, unlike ADL products, you can fit guide-wheels to them (something to do with where the struts/bracing for the body at the front is I believe?)

Very strange developments. These services must be being provided by either Preston or Chorley (can't really see Gillmoss taking them on!) but how on earth could they be economically viable? Unless of course, Stagecoach are viewing them as 'loss leaders'...?

Look more like contract services - possibly the aftermath of Walton Swift collasping? I think the time period is about right for long term contracts to be sorted.

In which case, yes they are tendered services. Cumfybus got absolutely wiped out round Southport, losing 90+% of their tendered services.

Didn't they take over almost all of Arriva's school services in Southport a few years ago, Cumfybus that is? If so, big loss for them, and you wonder what the future holds for them in Southport.

Hull and Country Bus Preservation Group, got to here before I did, with a little help from a certain Mr Burton

Never heard it as "preserved by the company"

Thanks Gez, having google the name the following page gives a photo:
http://www.freewebs.com/hullandcountrybuspreservationgroup/newarrivals.htm
It appears said group also have ex-10334.

I've also never heard of T56 being "preserved" by Stagecoach, I have heard it referred to as a "celebrity" with "guaranteed preservation post-service" though.

______

16331 is currently at Morecambe along with 16447 having been swapped for 16666/7

Does anyone know what's going to happen with buses when the road between the temporary bridge and the northside roundabout in Workington is closed? Basically I need to get to Dunmail Park on Saturday. Will probably just walk it frm the bus station if its an alright day, but wanted to know just in case.

W'ton - M'port;
Across the river, right at the roundabout, along the riverside, left at the roundabout, up over Calva, left at Seaton shops, down Lowca Lane and right at the bottom.

M'port - W'ton; the reverse.

AIUI there will be no service to Northside/Siddick/Dunmail during the works :(
