20456 is now in service with Carlisle and with this 20960 moved to Kendal. 20456 entered service I think two weeks ago-ish....
Throwing her in at the deep end already it would seem!

From what I gather 22140 has not had racks fitted yet.

I spent a couple of days in Manchester last month and was wondering where the Manchester based MAN's in the 22xxx series operate as I didn't see many in the City Centre.

Anyone know what routes they generally operate?

I did see more of them during a brief couple of hours at Stockport.

Most of the MANs are at the Ashton and stockport depots and can be seen round the respective towns, the hyde rd and sharston depot MANs only operate on certain routes but unsure which ones. Mbonwick over to you .

Something worth noting 21007 run in propper passenger service today doing the 1540 942 Lancaster to Caterall empty back to uni then 1710 12 service to Morecambe.

This is a bit of a long jump, but hey ho!
As some people may be aware, The Big Lemon in Brighton have recently cancelled their service 42, after extreme competition from Brighton & Hove, as a result, this has made a small number of vehicles redundant, including ex-Lillyhall 20779.
Big Lemon staff have contacted me and offered 20779 for preservation to anyone in the area willing to take it into a good home, for a very reasonable price, to save it from going for scrap. The interior is pretty much as withdrawn from Lillyhall back in 2010 (blue Stagecoach trim), but has been cleaned up. It also has tax and a long MOT. The side and rear Bright Tech dot matrix's are still in place, and they may be able to offer a front Bright Tech to help restore it to as near original condition as possible (it has been working for Big Lemon with a front Hanover LED).

It has been said in a few conversations between individuals that it would be criminal if at least 1 of this batch wasn't saved for preservation, this may just be someone's lucky chance to get one secured.

Send me a message on here if you're interested in preserving such a fine vehicle, or for more details. There isn't many of the batch left to get!

Was on 18363 from heysham towers just before 4pm going to morecambe which had a vinyl missing on the window next to the emergency exit and when it set off i spotted a kendal scania 'not in service' heading the other way, road test or school service?

20451 is now off at Carlisle having been missing from service for around 14 days with gearbox issues.

20456 continues it's stint at Carlisle for the time being but could be swapped back around again on the 13th with 20960. Hopefully it will stay and provide an extra belted bus for the 92 now that 451 has bit the dust.

16355 continues in use at Carlisle due to the lack of any spare deckers.
