All will depend on what Chorley has in its fleet.

One Volvo Oly will operate the X25, currently looking into getting it repainted and branded so watch this space at the paint shop...

There is also changes being made to the proposed darts from Gillmos, all change :D

Aye, i did a 67 Market > Belle Vue > Market... Absolute Flyer! it's not too out of place on towns, the only real sticking point being the fold up manual ramp! nothing like a bit of manual labour!

Also 34685 did a W.C. Hospital 600 earlier in the day,
and CUFC 34703 did the 17:40 600 to cockermouth.
With 20918 yet again LL's weapon of choice for one of their 600 slots
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

What direction?

Now there is less B10Ms about Darts are often used on there. The 17.40 being a Dart is a mega rare one as it works off service 94 and the 520 during the day and is always a belted B10M.

20456 is now at Carlisle with 20960 at Kendal. There is a reason behind this too...

The new fleet cards are now out.

The 2 Enviros at Lillyhall are replacing 2 B10Ms and not Darts to Carlisle, no idea where that one brewed from...

Certainly is an odd swap, but hopefully it slightly improves my chances of getting on one again before they disappear, whenever that'll be.

Fun fun fun this afternoon in Workington, probably was everywhere, I know Carlisle was. Heavy traffic not being helped by the local authorities deciding the last weekend before Christmas is a good time to re-mark road markings in town centre.
20473 and 20910 on Moorclose Circulars.
47005/6, 47059 and 34616 all on Harrington & Seaton, with 20918 also doing a run on 47, rather than the usual 3 Solo's.
35246 short 302.
Some 30/31's were running in 3's, when they're timetabled 15 mins apart. At one point had 2 MAN E300's + 17017 all in for Maryport 30/31, along with 15685 on 300, whilst only 5 minutes before that there was 2 31's to Frizington and a 30 to Thornhill in at the same time.

20456 has seatbelts?

Was my first thought but nothing to do with that.

Couple of mega rare workings in Carlisle yesterday evening.

34694 performed the last 685 to Hexham and back running about 35mins late due to adverse weather and bad traffic. First time that a branded Dart has visited Hexham AFAIK. The last 600 was performed by a 62 branded Dart.

Certainly a rarity! I think you're right about branded darts/hexham...

34679 once again on City services today... spent the whole afternoon orbiting on 60's... the ramp even got used AFAIK!

Some members may find this interesting. It's a sneak look at the new bus for London at one of Arriva's depots.

Aye passed it on Botchergate at 11am while going for my train. At the same time 34214 was getting replaced on the 68 by another Mpd.

Been looking back over the years of photos of what I have or have noted for 685 and from what I can see it has never been a branded Dart. The last one to Hexham is normally B10M as a last resort so to see a Dart is rare. Obviously branded Darts have visted Brampton often enough.

And i cant see why it's the case... Ive been a passenger on many a dart on a long country route now, and they cope better in general (for passenger comfort) than the old B10M's... 34700 and 34685 are two classic examples, both perform excellently on 600/1 and similar, and from what cainebj said 34715 was good on 300/1 last week, which is a great accolade for any bus!! Now 685 is operated under domestic rules, i wonder if this is a sight we will see more of?

I agree the Darts cope fine on the country runs. I had 34716 on the 104 a while back and it was excellent, especially speed wise. At the same time I would not like a Dart all the way to Newcastle but as far as Hexham would be fine. They cope ok when they do the Hexham shorts on a Sunday. Darts are far more common on the 93s 600s and Dumfries turns now compared to last summer.

I will never have anything good to say about 34700. Was 45mph all the way to the Morecambe Open Day and the sounds its fan makes isnt ideal if you are going to Dumfries or something on it. I manage to sufffer from it most days on the 67/68 and its not up to much at all. In general the Darts are better suited to the longer routes where the driver can put his foot down. They never seem upto much plodding around the Town.

It has been a Branded 63 bus many years ago when the 63s used the bus station, before eu duties.
