Arent 22104 & 8 on there daily now?

Its the best place to find them, but not always both of them on. They do 31A's and stuff as well, with the occasional extra X5, or even a 300 (22104 was on a few weeks ago).

I've been informed that the skip in Workington Bus Station, for the on-going building repair work, has been set on fire, I'd assume at this time of night, it'll be the kids hanging around the bus station drinking.

Surprised it hasn't happened earlier, or even some drunk fall/fail attempting to climb up the scaffolding. When you think the builders are finished, they just seem to put even more scaffolding up

Over to Gez...

In all honesty I can see Morecambe getting 1 or 2 extra Scania E400s for the 42 which would see off 14196 and 16351 (at a guess).

Then there's also the possibility of E400s for 2/2A, that would see a much larger cascade of vehicles and who knows where that would lead.

Gez.SCNW will be able to give you a better answer than I ;)

16668 seems to be a regular on Blackpool to Lancaster 42s. Are they being replaced soon?

From what I gather ME have put in for New E400s and I would guess (guess been the key word) that they will either get a few extra E400s or indeed Scania's for the 42 OR keep a few 2005 Tridents for the 42 as well as some other diagrams like Carnforths.

It also depends on whether ME are in a rush to make the 42 fully LF. From what I see day to day half the time a MAN is on there anyway so it's not 100% decker operated. Also depends on how the diagrams work and how interworking works with the 42 and other services.

I think the Olys will be around for a while yet even if some drop off here and there!

Seen 47055 going past farmfoods/skerton bridge in lancaster, isn't this a kendal bus?

Sure is, either down for a visit to ME or on the 555 but I very much doubt that lol.

Spotted an Oly been dragged through Scotforth by a wrecker about half an hour ago, assume it's one of ME's.

Worked down on an additional 555 due to snow further north, a bus was put on at Kendal this brought the pax from point north

Few odd allocations in Carlisle this morning.
34679 on 600 in place of a B10M.
34715 on 554 instead of an Olympian.
34700 and mini Dart 34219 on 38 instead of 2 long Darts (34679 a 38 regular).
Non-belted 20960 on 94 instead of belted 20451 or 20904 (for school contract)

In Workington, 34616 was on short 302 and 20945 on Moorclose 50 instead of Solo's. 16331 on 30/31 decker slot instead of 17017.

Will be interesting to see which darts move from Gillmoss and how (if they're still in service) GM manage to free them up....

I would imagine they're from the 2005/6 batch - I can't see Chorley being happy at effectively having a 2004 dart replaced with a 1998 example.

Plus most of the P/R reg darts are Gillmoss aren't actually DDA compliant - again, something that wouldn't go down with Chorley.

I just had 34715 on my 300 home (16:40 off Carlisle). It was actually a very good ride, more comfortable than a B10M. Much smoother ride, and quieter. It had quite an odd display layout on it, the usual Maryport at top, 300 on right, and bottom line had a small "Connect", changing to "For Workington" in the same font size as Maryport.
It was replaced on 554 by 16343.

I too saw this bus at about the same time, it was being driven by a Kendal Inspector. It worked down as an extra 555.

That bus and 16662, appear to be always given trouble!!!!, about time ME got some new D/D buses.

With any luck they will do in one form or another. The Olys run well and I suppose they have problems just like anything else lol!

Does that mean the X60/61 is no more between manchester and chorley/preston.

:lol::lol::lol:

Ok so now the Cats out of the bag i can confirm that X60/61 will be no more.

We will start a new service X25, Preston-Chorley-Horwich-Trafford Centre and Shudehill.

For the time being 4 journey's a day will operate, two in the morning and two in the afternoon we will be activley monitoring this closley and have adjusted how its run so no delays can occur.

Other fleet movements are 47019 and 47021 will be moving shortly

Still awaiting confirmation of which 3 Darts from gillmoss will come across altho i am told they will be of reasonable state, i'm sure we will make them Chorleyfied as with the 4 Volvo Oly's from LL.....:D

Why is it only showing Preston to Chorley on the registration though ??

And is it four journeys altogether or is there smaller trips inbetween?

As for the two solos, i dont think they will be missed by many, but i got quite used to them and would prefer them now to certain other buses!

I would imagine that another X25 registration will appear tomorrow from Preston to Manchester, thus avoiding the need for tachographs ;)

I can't quite work out what's happening vehicle wise here tbh. Are the darts going in for X25 or something else (I've heard 109 mentioned).
How are the Solos being replaced - I'd assume by said darts, but isn't that a step backwards especially if 34680 is leaving...?

Finally, assuming that the Olys will no longer be required, what's going to happen on the decker side of things?

Seems there's Solo shortages again at Lillyhall. 20913 on Moorclose 50, while 20945 is Moorclose 51 with board in windscreen. Could do with 34218 back, or at least a replacement for it.

Yes, the Solos are being replaced by the Darts from Gillmoss. According to someone in the know, the Darts will be the three 'R' reg ones that are currently in reserve at GM. Can't say I'm awfully chuffed about that.

I've heard that CY will be getting more Tridents. I don't know where from, or which ones they will be though. More Tridents - oh lovely

Isn't the replacement of Solos with Darts a backwards move?

Instead, why don't they use the Darts on services 74 & 84 around the Fylde Coast, thus releasing newer buses for longer distance journeys?
