Workington... Yay.
Any idea why Kendal have "turned down" the offer of the Olympians - mind you they have had a hard life and quite a few are apparantly pretty knackered. Wonder if it is a capacity issue - what is the difference between the Volvo and Leyland Olypians?

The LWB Leyland's are 85 seaters, and the N reg Volvo's only seat 75. The SWB Olympians would not meet the seating requirements for the school contracts.

Glad they've made the move! Is it just 6 going to PR?

Did Olys come up as a swap?

Cheers :)

Now I'm not suffering from a large input of Jameson
Four went down Tuesday
followed by one yesterday morning
18358 went this morning leaving 18354 and 18364 at ME

Have any of the Preston Olympians made it up to Morecambes back wall yet, do we know which ones they are sending up, dont they have more than 6 N reg examples?

How did they decide whoch ones were split between Preston and Morecambe, is down to mileage or just a decision made following an inspection at Morecambe?

17289,264 & 265 all lined up waiting for the bus wash at Carlisle around 6pm tonight

17289 fresh off London Disposals. Were the other 2 not 294 and 295? Both of them 2 were on London Disposals as well.

Buttermere Solo 47721 in use on the Annan Town service (80) and will operate on service 93. The first time one of the Solos has been used on this turn.

47016 currently residing at LL.

So it was 47016 today... after briefly going past the entrance of the depot and seeing a flipdot Solo's a*se today sitting there - pondered with all the flipdot solo's out in Workington today (and 47024 still up at Carlisle)!

Rather good one this one! We'll see if its just there for storage for the time being, or maybe a rather nice replacement perhaps...

Would be nice if it meant the end of 34218  Awful thing these days. Seems a bit silly having just the 1 mini Dart, which mostly works Solo routes any ways, might as well just replace it with a Solo, have a fully Solo minibus fleet.
With how things usually are with 34218, it might as well be branded for Moorclose Circular 50, seeing as it spends 95% of its time on there.

27754 made it onto a 55 to Ripley this morning which is very rare indeed.

I had 25223 on the X1 on my way to campus and it goes like a rocket ship on the straights, very smooth as well.

I'm expecting a few more odd allocations over the coming weeks as the cold sets in and buses stop working in the mornings lol.

34218, 47005 and 47023 on Harrington and Seaton.
47061 on 50.
16447 on 51.
20473 and 20913 on 30/31.
20910 on extra X5.
52628 either on extra or long X5.

47617 on 51 now.
35249, 22104 and 22108 also 30/31.
20902 is the other extra X5, so I'm guessing 52628 is long runs to Penrith, with 20918.

Cold weather seems to be attacking the buses, 47061 took a good few attempts to start up this afternoon, it just made grinding noises the first few times.

As in it was nippy and quick off the mark as well as speedy up the hills. I didn't mean it was speeding on the straights just good acceleration as you would expect from a youngish, smaller lighter vehicle :)
