Well, none of Chorley's buses were in Heysham today, but one of their Bus Stops was...

Spotted on the back of a lorry heading down Oxcliffe Road before loitering near a bus stop on Kingsway.
Coppull, Clancutt Lane (South) towards Wigan, it said, in case anyone notices it's gone....

Traveller's have some ex-Parks B12BT Panthers, which are identical to the Megabus examples.

There are two of them SF07 WBL & SF07 YTP, and they have stagecoach uphoistered seats!

Stop thief

Also I am susprised that nobody has posted anything about the traffic choas in Lancaster this morning, and about the university buses running via East Road & Coulston Road.

I seem to recall, come to think of it, that although belonging to Parks, said Panthers were used on Megabus contracted routes?

Gez will be more definitive I'm sure.

Panthers were intended for Stagecoach, but they were swapped with some Profile's intended for Parks, so Stagecoach Western operate a few Plaxton Profile's on service 500 that have Parks spec. interiors, and Park's had Panther's with Stagecoach spec. interiors, which they used on Citylink and traded in for their brand new Plaxton Panther 2 bodied B13T's.

Hope that helps

Carlisle's 20959 on 300-302 this morning, replaced broken 15683, which was in back corner of CE depot.
Carlisle's 104 branded 24124 being repaneled in body shop, and Chorley Solo PX06 FXY (I think) fully rubbed down being taken through to paint shops.

On the allocation front, although not major at all, 34219 on 69's, rather than the usual 51 plate Solo. 47018 is out on Buttermere 77, while 47722 is getting its 21 day service.

Also, Carlisle's "New" Training Coach was up at Kingmoor Park on Training duties!

Looks good, still a bit basic. I miss the days of big branding like the what they have on PRs Scans for the 2X2 lol.

Just waiting for the Scans to move now, can't be long!

Spotted what I thought was one of KLs B10s heading into Lancaster Bus Station at about 14.40.

Buttermere Solo on city route 69 today, except for around half an hour when 34221 went on. 47018 had another day on Buttermere Circular 77 by looks of things, as 47022 was in the workshops.
47016 sat in CE depot with Lancaster University X22 on the blinds.

Seen KLs branded up scania's on gez's site on flickr and spotted something missing on the buses.

Fleet numeros and stagecoach cumbria logo on side?

Somethings really annoying me about the branding.... it doesn't look very well in proportion. OK, they had them down to order without advert boards so you would have thought space could have been used a little better. Also think the Freedom Lakes logo should be near the front (like west coast/urban connect logo location). At least then both side logos would be the same size, as near side is smaller for side display in their current position.

Apart from that its ok
Its good, but I feel it could be better I think sadly, especially being green, but not green buses!

My personal opinion is that they look cheap and it's a half a***d effort. They could have went all out with eye catching branding and instead they add some small vinyls, much is the way with Stagecoach at present.

As I understand it SC have cut back on expensive big branding to save money. A lot of people don't see the point in branding altogether!

I respect budget cuts, but I think it was just a waste of time coming up with the new green livery twist in the first place AND ordering them without advert boards when then they are not committed in providing pristine vinyl's to go along with it. Its the bloody Lakes for goodness sakes(!)

Swindon's are due next and Swindon's current TransWilts Express branding on their last batch of Scania's is bloody fantastic. Exactly the icing on the cake for what Kendal's needed.

The current sunday timetable as the 555/X55 running every 2 hours between Kendal and Lancaster with the first and last journeys starting/finishing at Lancaster uni, i wonder if they will still run or curtail at the bus station .

I'd assume the driver turned the bus off while it was still changing to Wigton for Keswick 554 after it done it's school route showing Carlisle 91A, freezing off the display. Reminds me of quite a while ago now, possibly last summer, with 16355 showing "Kerlisle 554".
